Xilent is the stage name used by Eryk Kowalczyk. Eryk Kowalczyk is a drum & bass music producer music producer, electro house and dubstep. Currently he is living in UK. Many of his fans know his for his music called "Choose Me II" which was released in 2011. This track was very popular and remained at top position for couple of months on Beatport's Dubstep chart. And Xilent was happy when this song was taken for BBC Radio 1. In 2011, he got nomination in the category of “Best Newcomer Producer” by Drum and Bass Arena Awards. At present, he is signed to AudioPorn Records.
Xilent was born in Poland and introduced to a synthesizer (Propellerhead Rebirth RB-338) at the age of nine. With this synthesizer, he produced his first bits at that age. He became interested about music and liked to do something unique than ongoing techno. And finally, he seemed to be happy with drum and bass. According to Xilent, he gets his influence from Concord Dawn, Calyx, DJ Rap and Future Cut. he got involved with some punk bands including Fast Forward. Xilent’s releases were hit in the music arena and top on the drum’n’bass charts. In 2009, one of his works was the biggest tract without a shadow.
Xilent studies software engineering at a university in Scotland. During his stay in Scotland, he became a member of renowed labels like Beta Recordings, Mindtech Recordings and Ammunition Recordings. This was possible when he was frequently DJing in many places of Europe. At the end of Decmber, Xilent showed a demonstration in his home country, Poland.
Xilent’s has released two singles and two EPs after signing to AudioPorn Records. In 2012, Xilent came up with "Ultrafunk" EP which includes four tracks: Beyond, Ultra, Twisted and Do It. The track, “Beyond”, has been rated by BBC Radio as one of the hottest records in the world. Afterward, “Boss Wave”, a single, was released on AudioPorn Records. This single was one of the top tracks on Beatport .
