About Whitney Houston

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a former singer/actress/producer as well as model that was born on August 19, 1963 and died on February 11, 2012. She was born on Newark, New Jersey, US, she is one of the prominent singer in industry that received respect and idolized by many people around the world. Whitney was exposed in church choir in New Hope Baptist Church where she thought how to play piano. Her first piece was “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah” that she sang in the church and as she growing up, she begins to work as a fashion model in the year 1980 and she was featured in Seventeen and became a cover of a magazine. She started his singing career when he was 14 years old and she became backing vocals for Michael Zager Band’s. However, when he was 15, she sang the The Bodyguards soundtrack which became a big hit for her.

She released her first debut album with self titled “Whitney Houston” on Valentine’s Day February 14, 1985 by Arista Label. It consists of the single “Greatest Love of All” that was a big hit all over the world which until now it is memorable song for her career. The album was Certified 13x Platinum that sold 25 million copies international. She won the Best Pop Vocal Performance Female and Record of the year” by Grammy Awards. After 2 years, she released her 2nd album called “Whitney” on 2nd of June and produced by Narada Michael Walden, Michael Nasser and 2 other more. She collaborated with her mother in the song “I Know Him So Well”. Followed by her 3rd album entitled “I’m Your Baby Tonight” that was released on 6th of November 1990 in which the 2 albums was also a huge impact in her fans.

In Whitney’s journey in his stardom, she released 3 more albums from 1998 to 2009 such as “My Love is Your Love” as well as “Just Whitney” along with “I look to you together with 4 albums of compilation of his big hits and not only that, she also had major role in the films The Preacher’s Wife, Waiting to Exhale and The Princess Diaries together with a television and commercial roles. She held major concerts in America, Europe, Asia, Japan, Brazil and all over the world that sold a million tickets and full of audiences who believe and idolized her talent as a singer. Whitney died in Beverly Hilton Hotel Suite number 434 due to drowning according to the investigator. It was ruled out the cause of her death was atherosclerosis heart disease and drug s intake such as cocaine intake (small amount) and Marijuana. She was buried in Fair view Cemetery in New Jersey.
