About Waka Flocka Flame

Juaquin Malphurs, also known as Waka Flocka Flame, is an American rapper and a hip hop artist from Georgia. He was born in 1986. His single tracks, "No Hands" and "O Let's Do It" earned him popularity and success and gave him top position on the Billboard Hot 100. His name "Flocka Flame" was selected to by Gucci Mane whom Waka Flocka has known since his childhood.

Essentially, Waka Flocka’s popularity began with the release of "O Let's Do It". He was with Frenchie, OJ Da Juiceman, and Gucci Mane and a part of 1017 Brick Squad. During 2011, Waka Flocka’s name was flourishing due to several reasons. He was seen posting for a nude picture for PETA (an anti-animal killing organization). During that time, he released several remixes. He worked together with Gucci Mane and released “Ferrari Boyz”.

Waka Flocka spoke about his third album entitled “Flockaveli 2”. This album featured some guest artist from Wyclef Jean as well as Timbaland. This album was shaped by a number of prominent produces of Southside, 808 Mafia, Lex Luger and TM88. And after the release of the album, he also released “DuFlocka Rant 2” with Ace HoodFrench MontanaGucci Mane and Lil' Wayne.

Waka Flocka had a nice relationship with Gucci Mane until 2012. But in 2013, Gucci Mane disclosed the problem that had been going on between him and Waka due to fraudulence activity, racketeering, and violation of contract. They broke their relationship and only this, Gucci filed case against Waka Flocka, Debra Antney (Waka's mother), rapper Khia Stone, OJ Da Juiceman and producer Zaytoven. Though, the real reason for the break of relationship is yet to be known to their fans. Waka Flockahas released four albums and all the four albums are popular. He had toured in so many places for live shows and radio programs.

Waka was born in Jamaica, Queens. Later on, when he was 9 he moved to Georgia where he started his rap and hip hop career. Gucci Mane was the person who helped him the most. Without Gucci, success for Waka would have been difficult.
