About Trivium

Trivium is a renowned band from Florida. It was formed in 2000 and within a short period of time it could earn huge popularity and commercial success. Trivium is mainly a thrash metal/progressive metal band which consists of four members, Matt Heafy (vocal and guitarist), Corey Beaulieu (lead guitarist and backing vocal), Mat Madiro (drummer), and Paolo Gregoletto (bassist). In 2003, the band got an offer from German imprint Lifeforce, and they could release their first album entitled “Ember to Inferno” with Matt Heafy, Travis Smith (former drummer), and Brent Young (former Bassist). The album was hit and they got another offer from Roadrunner Records. In 2005, the band released “Ascendancy”. But the album was redistributed after two months of its release with four new tracks. Trivium started to perform on regular basis; they were considered an important underground band. In 2006, the band participated in a large concert in U.K. which included many great thrash and heavy metal bands (Cannibal Corpse, GWAR, As I Lay Dying and others).

The band then worked for their next album called “Crusade”. In this album, fans found a great change in the vocals. The band had been in trouble and criticism with its vocal as Heafy screams and makes throaty growls throughout the songs. But the band members did not want to compromise with the vocal style of Heafy. In 2008 the band released “Shogun”. Drummer Smith left the band in 2010 and Nick Augusto joined as the drummer. Later, the band released its next studio album entitled “In Waves” which was released in 2011. The band’s songwriting style was well appreciated by fans and music critics. Trivium released “In Waves” in 2011 worldwide and “Vengeance Falls”, in 2013. The latest album was well appreciated and sold well in U.K., U.S.A. and Japan (over one million).

According to Trivium's members, the band is deeply influenced by OpethDream TheaterMachine HeadMetallicaHellhammerBlack SabbathTestamentAngra and many other great bands and musicians. Trivium is regular in concerts and soon it will be with its new album.
