About The Veronicas

Formed in 1999, The Veronicas is a Pop duo band from Australia. The two members of this band are twin sisters, Jess and Lisa Origliasso. They began their musical interest at an early age. They were born in 1984. The sisters performed as the Origliasso Twins which caught attention of a number of agents and talent hunters. When they were just teens, they could release three pop albums. They were also seen in TV programs including “Cybergirl”. Jess was given a guitar on her birthday which inspired them to go for rock from pop. So they concentrated on making some alternative rock music in the later period.

When they tried to come up as a band, two of their friends helped them. The name of the band was “Teal” which released "Baby It's Over," a hooky track that easily made the twins well known. Soon they started working with many collaborators and signed contracts. They contributed into many songs including Japanese pop singer Miz, Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan and the Russian group Tatu. The twins concentrated on studio albums and looked for shortcuts to international attention. They moved to USA and started working with Sire, an offshot of Warner Bros. in the meantime; the band became 20 years old.

Along with Sire, the Veronicas' came up with a full-length album in 2005, entitled, “The Secret Life Of...” in the following year, the album was sold in the international market. The album was sold very well in Australia where the album became quadruple platinum certified. In 2007, the Veronicas came up with a new album, “Hook Me Up”. Again, this album became a multi-platinum album in Australia. For a long period of time, they did not work in the studio. They visited so many places and demonstrated their talents. In 20012, they declared that they would be coming again with a new album. But they released of the new album delayed. Ultimately, in 2014, they released, “The Veronicas”. The twins are involved in philanthropic activities and joined Wildlife Warriors Worldwide,
