About Sigma

Sigma is a drum and bass house twosome that was formed on 2006 in Leeds, England UK comprising Cameron Edward and Joe “Wooz” Lenzie together with the past member Ben Mauerhoff. They attended in Leeds University in one of the party nights. At first, they had their own job; Cameron is working in Tribe Records along with Echo Location’s Obi running in Event Horizon. While Lenzie is working as DJ hip-hop, as warming up in some club with Cameron as Rahzel as well as Grandmaster Flash. After their success, they transfer to London in which they added another member Ben Mauerhoff (Edward’s friend). Meanwhile, the tri got separated after the Luton studio can’t handle trio so Ben got separated with the group. Edward and Lenzie is the founder of Life Records that was revealed on the month of December year 2008.

During the year 2009, they had the opportunity to release songs under the Hospital records that was started in June 2009 called “Paint It Black” that was included in compilation album entitled “Sick Music”. One year later, they released “Stand Tall (Part 1)”through Breakbeat Kaos along with the single “Lassitude” which they collaborated with DJ Fresh and with KoKo. The single peaked at number 98 in UK singles chart while number 11 in UK Dance Chart and it was included in DJ Fresh’s album “Kryptonite” and eventually they followed “Stand Tall (Part 2).

As the duo is incessant, they launched “Night & Day (Part 1 & 2)” under their label Life Recordings that got success and they gained their victory being partner in music industry. Soon after, they released more singles including “Summer Calling” featuring Taylor Fowlis, “Rudeboy” with Doctor that ranked number 56 in UK Singles Chart while number 12 in UK Dance Chart. Another, they introduced “Nobody to Love” that Top the UK Dance & Singles Chart while number 2 in Belgium’s Chart. They signed a recording contract with 3Beat Records which they released their latest single “Divine” on 16th of April 2014 followed by “Changing” that was launched on September 14, 2014 which they worked with Ella Eyre and with Paloma Faith on the vocals.

In the other hand, Sigma also produced remixes for the other artists like “Shut the lights Off” featuring Adam F. along with Horx & Redman, “Rescue” by Skepta and their single “Lassitude” with DJ Fresh as well as “Somebody to Love” by Rusko. In addition, they performed in Europe, UK alongside in Australia and USA Tour in which they worked with Rusko also known as Christopher Mercer.
