The hard yet melodic band of rockers, Shinedown, were from Jacksonville, Florida. The group was originally composed of Brent Smith as the vocalist, Jason Todd as the guitarist, Brad Steward as the bassist and Barry Kech as the drummer. In the early 200, the men behind the Atlantic Records have noticed the talent of the band. After the Nickelback and Creed signings, Shinedown was the Atlantic’s next star on the rise.
In 2003, the band launched their very first album entitled “Leave A Whisper. This album actually did a good job. Thanks to its single “Fly From The Inside”, the album was able to achieve a platinum level. The release of the album eventually lead to a wide array of live shows and gigs for the band. In fact, they did touring for the remainder of the year 2004. The next year, the band launched an album which showed a compilation of their shows.
In 2005, they came up with their second album entitled “Us and Them”. This album went a little better than the first one. In fact, this one was able to achieve a gold album award. The following years, the band did a little changes in their lineup. In 2008, they re-emerged as a quintet with only Smith and Kerch as the remaining original members. New members include Zach Myers and Nick Perri as their guitarists. In addition to that, they got Eric Bass as their bassist.
In 2009, the band bade goodbye to Nicki Perri and the quartet stayed in the music industry. Since the music fits the genre of the show, the band decided to lend some of their amazing music to WWWE. Their songs can be heard during pay per view events. In addition to this, they also composed other soundtracks. At the same time, they tour for the Sound of Madness. Once again, their live shows were recorded in a DVD compilation entitled “2011's Somewhere in the Stratosphere”. In 2012, they also released their fourth album entitled “Amaryllis” which featured their single “Bully”.
