About Scooter

The Scooter is a group that was formed on 1994 in Germany comprising Hans Peter Geerdes “H.P Baxxter” (Frontman) born on March 16, 1966, Phil Speiser “DDY” born on October 12, 1990 (Dj and Producer) and Michael Simon (Dj and Musician) born on 29, August 1972.

The Scooter’s first debut single called "Vallée De Larmes" (Valley of Tears) cover by Rene and Gaston’s was released on December 1993 and reached number 8 in the German Dance Chart. They performed in “The Palladium’ (First live performances) in Hamburg.Their First album “And the Beat Goes On” was released on January 31, 1995 in Europe with a style of Trance, hard Trance and Happy Hardcore. Their 2nd single “Hyper Hyper” was released in the market that sold for about 750,000 copies (Certified Gold Record) and ranked as number 2 in German Chart while top 5 in Other countries. Followed by third single “Move your Ass” that ranked number 3 and reached Gold Records that sold 250, 000 copies in their homeland.

The band released their 2nd album in 1996 entitled “Our Happy Hardcore” on March 28. While their 3rd album “Wicked” with its single “I’m Raving” that became Certified Gold record in Germany that sold 250,000 copies and “Break it Up” with different style.

In the way of their journey, they introduced their 4th album “Age of Love” featuring Ferris Bueller (cousin of Baxxter) and it was ranked at number 19 in Germany’s Media Control Album Chart. In 1998, they came out their 5th studio album “NoTime to Chill” that had been released on July 20. In this album they collaborated with Axel Coon and reached again a Certified Gold that sold 50, 000 copies in Poland.Their single title “How Much is the Fish” that had been very viral. It reached number 3 in Single Chart and like their other single it became Gold records.

One year later, they release another album called “Back to the Heavyweight” with its single “faster Harder Scooter” and 7th album “Sheffield” that was released on May 2000. The band received an award for “Most Successful Dance Act” in 2000 VIVA Comet Awards. Their single “Endless Summer” is the primary single which had an extremely High Pitched voice in Chorus part and ranked No. 7 in Single Chart for about 13 weeks. From the year 2001 to present year they had released 10 albums with collaborations with many musical artists that became a big hit throughout those years with 10 live performances all over the world.
