About Robin Thicke

Robin Charles Thicke is an R&B singer-songwriter/musician/actor/record producer that was born on March 10, 1977 in Los Angeles, California by Gloria Loring (Singer-Actress) and Alan Thicke (Canadian Actor). This American-Canadian Singer recorded his first demo tape when he was teenager, his demo tape was paid by Al Jarreau, while this demo is the reason for him to discover by Brian McKnight when he was 14 years old. Brian asked him to work with him in the studio and the first song that they worked together was “Anyway” that was included in the Brian’s album called “I Remember You”.

In the year 1999 to 2002, he’s making his own name through co-writing a song in the album of Brandy’s debut album such as “Love Is on My Side” not only that he also worked with Jordan Knights and terry Lewis (American R&B Songwriter) as well as Jimmy Jam in the album “Jordan Knight” and also “When You Put Your Hands on Me” in the debut album of Christina Aguilera and many more artists.

Finally in the year 2003, he re-released his first debut album called “A Beautiful World” featuring Paula Patton in the cover which became his wife. He collaborated with Sean Hurley (bass), Bobby Keyes (Guitar), Pro J (drums) and many more to make this album. It ranked number 152 in Billboard 200 and sold 63,000 copies in US.

In the year 2006, he launched his 2nd album called “The Evolution of Robin Thicke” on October 3, 2006 by Star Trak Records. The prominent artists such as Faith Evans, Lil Wayne as well as Pharrell were featured in this album as special guest. He was the first Caucasian (Male Artists) who top the R&B singles chart and number14 in Billboards 100 that became Certified Platinum Records by RIAA. However, some of his tracks are featured in Television Drama Series “General Hospital”.

Robin released “Something Else” featuring Lil Wayne on September 30 that sold many copies all throughout US. and one year later, he followed “Sex Therapy: The Session” that was introduced on December 15, 2009 by Star Trak Entertainment featuring Game, Jay Z, Snoop Doog, Estelle, and Nicki Minaj. In addition to that, he launched “Love After war” and “Blurred Lines” that nominated as Best Pop Vocal Album in 56th Annual Grammy Awards on the year 2013.

On the other hand, he came out his present and 7th album that was named after her wife “Paula” which they were married on 2005 and they separated on the present year. It was released on June 30, 2014 by Star Trek and Interscope Records. It was sold for 24,000 copies on its first week and charted as number 9 in Billboard 200.
