Reamonn is a rock band based in Germany. They have released six studio albums. In the year 1997, Rea Garvey left “The Reckless Pedestrians “(a band from Ireland) and went to Germany. He needed to make a band there and he published an ad at a newspaper (Stockacher Anzeiger) about his recruitment for recording as well as live shows. And Mike Gommeringer was the first one who saw the ad and joined Rea Garvey. The duo later recruited other members for their band. The very first gig of the band was on the eve of New Year in Stockach in 1998. The band wanted to show its quality to a panel of delegates from various record labels. So they offered their songs and finally could get a deal with the Virgin Records Germany. Reamonn's success started to come in with the release of "Supergirl,". This single was played on radio and public places. The band is still proud of its single "Tonight," from their Wish album. This song opened new paths for the band. Portugal, Greece and other countries started to air the songs of Reamonn .
Reamonn could perform in Hamburg's HSH Nordbank in 2007 and the same year Garvey offered voice for "Let Go" of DJ Paul van Dyk. The band was lucky to get selected to perform for President Barack Obama's speech in Berlin in the year 2008. In November 2009, Reamonn got the chance of a world tour along with Status Quo. In the year 2010, the band released “Eleven”. The album has a both CD and DVD versions. 'Can't stand the silence' was the next album released in 2011. The band toured after the production of the album.
The band has been so busy since 2011. The band remains outside Germany for most of the time from 2011 to 2012. The band’s presence is seen in Switzerland, Belgium, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, and Netherlands.the band members, except Rea Garvey, formed another band “Stereolove” with Thomas Hanreich. This new band released an album in 2012. But this band does not influence Reamonn negatively at all. Reamonn has so many fans around the world today.
