About Rammstein

Rammstein which was formed in 1994 is a metal band originated from Schwerin, Germany.

Current members include Till Lindemann who is for lead vocals and harmonica, Richard Kruspe for lead guitar, backing vocals as well as occasional keyboards, Paul Landers for rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Christian "Flake" Lorenz who does keyboards, samples and synthesizers, Oliver Riedel for bass guitar and backing vocals, Christoph Schneider for percussion, drums and electronic percussion. One of the best facts about this band is that they were able to keep and maintain the same members.

Most of their songs are in German language; however, they also presented and sang in different languages like French, Spanish, Russian and English. The group were able to sell more than thirty five millions records all over the world. All of their recordings were under “Universal Music Group”.

“Herzeleid”, released in March 1995 was their first album. After it was released, they were able to go to a number of tours in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The second album called “Sehnsucht” was launched in 1997.The first single under this album received gold and after two weeks the entire album was ranked number ten in Germany . The next album “Mutter” was released in 2001. After its released, their concert tours extended to Mexico, Canada and United States.

“Reise, Reise” was the fourth album which was released 2004. The album was able to achieve and go straight to top ten in European charts. In the following year, a they were able to finish twenty one concerts facing more than two hundred thousand viewers. The fifth album titled “Rosenrot” was also another success. In 2009, the sixth album, “Liebe ist für alle da” was released. It was composed of eleven songs.

In 2011, the group also released an album called “Made in Germany 1995-2011”. The album was offered in three different versions; standard, special and super de luxe.

They popularized songs like “Amerika”, “Mein Teil”, “Seemann”, “Keine Lust”, “Sonne”, “Ohne dich”, “Du hast” and “Benzin”

The group received numerous awards and recognition. These include "Silver for Band Rock" (1997), "Best Live Band", "Best Video for Engel" (1998), "Most Successful International Artist" (1999), “Artist/Group" of the Year (2002), "Best Live Act", "Bronze for Band Rock", "Best Video for Keine Lust", "Group of the Year", "Best Foreign Artist", "Best German Act" and "Best Selling Artist Around the World" (2005), "Artist/Group of the Year" (2006), "Best Rock/Alternative/Heavy Metal", "Best Live-band" (2011), "Best German Band", "Most Successful National Act", (2012) and many others.
