Alecia Beth Moore a.k.a P!nk is an American singer-songwriter/actress born on September 9, 1979 in Pennsylvania, US. When she was in high school, she joined the “Middleground band” but got separated after losing in competition. In her teen age, she started composing songs in which her feelings came out to the lyrics that contains deep emotions. When she was 14 years old, she joined the group called “Basic Instinct” and used the named “Pink” but again it does not take long. However, her co-singer Crissy Conway with Stephanie Galligan created “Choice” together with her in which they formed a named in music industry. The female group rises fame after LaFace Records heard their song “Key to My Heart” and eventually they signed a recording contract with them under the signature of their parents due to their minor age, after that they transferred to Atlanta to record albums. But in the year 1998, the band got separated and L.A. Reid offer Pink two choices if she wants to go home or go as a solo performer and she choose to continue her journey as a solo artist.
In the year 2000 after she signed with LaFace Records, she released her debut album called “Can’t Take Me Home” on 4th of April. It contains the singles “There You Go” with “You Make Me Sick” and “Most Girls” that ranked as number 26 in US Billboard 200. It was recognized as Certified 2x Platinum in many countries such as US, Canada and Australia that sold more than 2 million copies all in all. One year later, she followed “Missundaztood” through Artista Records and produced by Damon Elliot, Dallas Austin as well as Linda Perry and Scott Storch which she collaborated with Scratch in the song “Respect”, Steven Tyler in “Misery” and Linda Perry for “Lonely Girl”.
As she continues, she introduced more album such as “Try This” on 2013 in which she got Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and a nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 46th Grammy Awards, followed by “I’m not Dead” on 1st of April 2006 accompanied by the tour on June 24, 2006 across Chicago, Dallas, Istanbul and Milan. She worked with Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveShow in the year 2007.
In 2008, she launched another album called “Fun House” which she got three nominations in Grammy Awards, and on 2012 she introduced “The Truth About Love”. In addition to that, she became the part of the films Ski to the Max as Brenda, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Happy Feet 2 as the voice of Gloria and Thanks for Sharing as Dede.
