Peter Sommer was born and raised in Skanderborg, Denmark. He was a founding member of the short-lived Danish duo SuperJeg with Carsten Valentin. After moving to Copenhagen in 2001, he spent seven months in former Gangway guitarist Henrik Balling's basement recording studio, 'Hullet' ('The Hole'), to come up with his debut solo release, På Den Anden Side, which was released in 2004. Two years later, he released his second album, Destruktive Vokaler. His next solo album, Til Rotterne Til Kragerne Til Hundene was released in 2008.
