About Painter

Painter was a Canadian rock band formed in the early 1970s in Calgary. Painter recorded their self-titled LP in Seattle which spawned one Top-20 charting single, "West Coast Woman", on Elektra in 1973. Follow-up singles "Going Home To Rock And Roll" and "Song For Sunshine" failed to ignite the charts after which Beattie and Lowe renamed the group, again, as Hammersmith. * Bob 'Herb' Ego - Drums and percussion * James Llewelyn - Drums and percussion (Last.fm)
