Oasis was a renowned hard rock band, formed in 1991, in Manchester. The band was formed initially by Liam Gallagher who was the vocal and tambourine. Guitarist Paul Arthurs, bass guitarist Paul McGuigan, drummer Tony McCarroll and vocalist and guitarist Noel Gallagher got together with Liam Gallagher.
Soon after the formation of the band, the members signed to Creation Records and their album called “Definitely Maybe” in 1994. The alum gained success within a few days. Two songs, “Live Forever” and “Supersonic” were considered to be outstanding at that time.
The band started to perform on regular basis and in the following year, in 1995, the band came up with the next release, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. This album feature new drummer, Alan White. The band gained international interest and attention because of this album. Some of the best tracks from the album were Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Don’t Look Back in Anger.
The ultimate success of the band came in 1997 with their third album. This new album, “Be Here Now”, became the best selling album which was going hand in hand with Michael Jackson’s “Bad”. Arthurs and McGuigan decided to leave the band. Soon Andy Bell and Gem Archer took their positions and worked for the upcoming “Heathen Chemistry” (2002)
Oasis tried to make their songs enriched with modern technology and sounds. So, Oasis came up with their next album in 2007. The new album, "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" was the first album by Oasis that was digitally released. The album rose to a top position within a short period of time in UK.
Around in 2009, Noel Gallagher publicly announced that he no longer wanted to be with the band. And Liam Gallagher, in the meantime, informed that the band was done. But the other members wanted to continue music and carry the name. But the name was changed to Beady Eye and Noel founded a new group called “Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.”
