About New Order

New Order is a rock band from England, formed in 1980. At the initial stage of the band, it had only three members because one of the members, Joy Division committed suicide in 1980. The three members were Bernard Sumner (guitarist), Peter Hook (bassist) and Stephen Morris (drummer). Bernard Sumner took the role of vocal. Although Morris' girlfriend came up and joined the band as a keyboardist, therefore the band was totally complete within a short time.

The band released its first single, "Ceremony", which was recorded in 1981. The single soon became one of the top songs in the top 40 chart in UK. Later the band released its first album, “Movement”. And after two years, in 1983, a second album, "Power, Corruption & Lies", was released. This album had a song called "Blue Monday”, which was one of the best songs of the band. This song remains in the top charts for a long time in UK.

In the year, 1985, they released "Low-Life". This album reached #94 on Billboard Top 200. But the next album was no successful one like the earlier works. The fourth album, "Brotherhood", could not sell huge number of copies.

Around in 1987, they released a singles, "True Faith", and it was seriously hit reaching number 5 on UK chart. In 1989, the band produced “Technique" which had two great rock songs: "Fine Time" and "Round And Round". New Order began some side projects with Johnny Marr (former guitarist of The Smiths) and Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys). In 1993, the band again came up with "Republic". This album also had many popular and hit tracks.

The band’s release in 2001, “Get Ready” was a different kind of album for the band because this album focused on guitar dominated tracks. And this was admitted by Summer that the album was “guitar-heavy”. Billy Corgan, the guitarist from The Smashing Pumpkins played in a track, "Turn My Way". In 2001, the band could tour in UK, Japan and US. Later the band released “Waiting for the Sirens” around in 2004. And the bad decided to break up the band due to their internal trouble. And the band paused till 2010. And the band has been again active since 2011 and worked for their next album
