Nervo is the more popular stage name of the twins Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo (also known as Mim and Liv). The twins were born in Melbourne, Australia and finished their studies at the Genazzano FCJ College. They are popular in the electronic dance music industry.
The two sisters began a career in modeling at age 16 with an Australian modeling agency but has always find music as their first love. They also have stints as ambassadors at the L’Oreal Fashion Festival.Nervo as Multi-faceted Artist
The duo first signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and began writing songs for various artists. They wrote the song “Negotiate with Love” for Rachel Stevens, a British pop artist, and the single reached the top 10 in the UK hit chart in 2005. Following this, Nervo’s songwriting career involved associations with hit artists like the Pussycat Dolls, Kesha, Ashley Tisdale and many more.
But the songwriting prowess of the duo was well-noted in 2009, upon the release of the song “When Love Takes Over”, which they co-wrote for artists David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. The hit single won a Grammy Award and reached the number one spot in the Billboard dance hit list.
After making a name as songwriters, Nervo ventured to create their own music for themselves. In 2010, Nervo released “This kind of love”, a song that reached the top 10 in the Music Week club charts. Nervo also collaborated with other musicians like “The Way We See the World” (with Afrojack), “Like Home” (with Nicky Romero), “Something to Believe In” (with Norman Doray) and others. The twins are also regular performers in several concerts and music festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. In 2011, Nervo performed in the opening act at Femme Fatale Tour, a concert of Britney Spears along with Nicki Minaj. Nervo’s live performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2013 was also notable.
In 2011, Nervo also began their hosting jobs at NERVOnation, a regular radio show in Sirius Radio. Nervo are also featured repeatedly in fashion magazines around the world including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, NYLON and People. The twins also appeared in the television show Styled To Rock, produced by the international sensation Rihanna. In 2013, the duo was also voted into the DJ Mag’s Top 100 List reaching the number 16 spot. In 2014, the twins were seen on their live performance at the Avila Beach Party and Digital Dreams.
