Maria Veniaminovna Yudina or Mariya Yudina (Russian: Мария Юдина, Мария Вениаминовна Юдина, Marija Veniamnovna Yudina) (28 August (O.S.) - September 9, 1899 – November 19, 1970) was a Russian pianist. Yudina was born in Nevel, Russia. She studied at the Petrograd Conservatory under Anna Essipova and Leonid Nikolayev. She also briefly studied privately with Felix Blumenfeld. Her classmates included Dmitri Shostakovich and Vladimir Sofronitsky (Last.fm)
