About Lumen

Lumen is a popular rock band that was formed on Ufa, Russia on February 12, 1998. The members are Rustem ‘Tem’ Bulatov (Lead Vocal), Igor ‘Garick’Mamaev (Guitar), Yevgeni trishin (Bass & keyboard) and Dennis ‘Den’ Shakhanov (Drums). The band’s genre was alternative rock, post-grunge and Punk rock.

The band started their career in the year 2002 where they released their first album called “Live in Navigator Club” with its single ‘Sid & Nancy’ that became a big hit in radio stations and got top in chart. One year later, they followed their album "Без консервантов" (No preservative added) and one of their song was written in Bashkir Language it was called “Urmanga”. The band decided to transfer the record label due to misunderstanding on the sold albums; they transfer to an independent label Vadim Bazeev (Manager). They introduced their song from their album called ‘Tri Puti” (Three ways) which released on the year 2004 that became radio hit.

In the year 2005, they introduced their 2nd live album “Одной крови (Same Blood)” that recorded in Ufa together with their sound producer Vlad Sawateec (D-Rain). It contain the songs Don’t hurry up and Blagoveshchensk (02). After few months, they introduced their 3rd album called “Freedom” which had 67,672 listeners. In the song “State” according to the lyrics “I love my country so much but I hate the Government” there’s democratic side influenced when they making the song.

The band received many awards in the duration of their career including nominations for ‘Best Band of 2007’ and ‘Best album’ of 2007; they won the ‘Band of the year’ on RAMP Awards in October 2008. In the same year they won the ‘Best New Band’.

In the present time, they discontinue their coming concert in UK Festival after they discover that it was for Ukranian Army for the War in Donbass. After a while, they still continue releasing album and as of this time, they had 10 official releases (five studio albums, 5 live albums and 2 live Dvd’s). For them, there’s always a room for improvement so that they keep discovering new style for their songs that spread all throughout Russia even their fans admires them for being unique and they putting their emotions into their song, so that all their concerts was full with many audiences.
