Leonard Albert “Lenny” Kravitz is a famous American singer, record producer, composer and actor. He was born on May 26, 1964 by an Actress Roxie Roker also known as Hellen Willis in 1970’s and a producer Sy Kravitz. His name was from his late uncle Private First Class Leonard M. Ktavitz. Lenny was a playful like the other kid, when he was 3 years old he’s using the pot and pots in their kitchen picturing it as drums. At the age of 7, his favorite group was Jackson 5 when he saw it performing. He was influenced by many artists like Stevie Wonder, Motown, Gamble and Huff, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin and The Isley Brothers.
In 1974, his family transferred to Los Angeles. For three years, he joined California Boys Choir due to his mother request and they sang with Metropolitan Opera were he had a chance to be a part of Mahler’s Third Symphony. He was inspired in Rock music through Kiss, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepellin. And addition to that he was more encouraged to push his career through artists like John Lennon and Bob Marley. He studied in Beverly Hills High School together with Nicholas Cage, Maria McKee and Slash.

In 1989, he signed a recording contract with Virgin Records and few months later he released his debut album entitled “Let Love Rule” on September 6, 1989. It was big hit in inside and out of United States, Europe and worldwide (in the year 2009).
He produced the album Vanessa Paradis for singer and actress Vanessa Paradis. He also released his 2nd album entitled “Mama Said” which he dedicated to Bonet due to their breakups.Followed by ‘Always on the Run’ (Tribute to his mother) feat. Slash and ‘What comes around, comes around’. He support the auction for Red Hot Organization for public Aids awareness on February to April 2011.
His 3rd album ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way” was introduced on March 9, 1993 by Virgin together with Henry and Craig Ross. It was certified double platinum in US for 2.2 million sold out copies. Two years later, he followed his 4th album called ‘Circus’ that won a Brit Award for Best International Male Artist and MTV Video Music Award for Best Male Video. He won his Four Consecutive Grammy awards 1999 for Best male Rock Vocal Performance. And in 2000, he won also for cover version of American woman by The Guess Who’s song.He collaborated with two songs of late Michael Jackson in 2001. Lenny continues making albums from 2001 to present time and his works are very unremarkable. He was worked with many famous artist now and before through music and in film.
