About Justin Timberlake

Justin Randall Timberlake was the voice behind the hit songs “Like I Love You”, “Cry Me A River” and “SexyBack”. Son of a Baptist choir director, Justin was born in  Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1981. He started his career in the entertainment business when he was 12, and from then on, he became a complete artist having his name tagged both in the music and film industries. He was married to Jessica Biel in 2012.

Early Start of Justin’s Career

In 1993, Justin was chosen to be a part of The New Mickey Mouse Club, a television show produced by Disney which aired from 1993 to 1995. He performed in the show alongside future hit makers  Britney SpearsChristina Aguilera and JC Chasez.

Soon after the show went off, Justin became a part of an all-male singing group ‘ N Sync, where he was joined by Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. The group was a big success and became one of the most popular bands of the 90’s. In 2000, the group released their album entitled No Strings Attached which became the biggest hit album for the band. Among the greatest hits of ‘N Sync include “I Want You Back”, “Tearin’ Up My Heart” and “Bye, Bye, Bye”. ‘N Sync No More

In 2002, Justin decided to pursue a solo career and later that year released his first solo album entitled Justified. The album includes the hit singles “Like I Love You” and “Cry Me A River”. In 2003, Justin joined Aguilera in a 45-date concert tour entitled Justified/Stripped. Justin won the Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in the 2004 Grammy Awards. Prior to the Grammy Awards, Justin was involved in a controversy when he accidentally showed Janet Jackson’s breast in a live television performance. He later apologized for the accident.

FutureSex/LoveSounds, second album of Justin as a solo artist, was released in 2006 and his single “SexyBack” became a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 List. After the success of his second album, Justin took a break from the limelight but came out strong again in 2013 when he released his third and fourth albums entitled The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, respectively.

Aside from recording his own music, Justin was also involved in arranging songs for other popular artists including “4 Minutes”, one of Madonna’s hit singles. Justin has also been part of successful movies including The Social Network, Friends with Benefits and In Time.
