About Gnarls Barkley

Gnarls Barkley is a popular duo that was formed in the year 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia, US. The members are Brian Joseph Burton a.k.a Danger mouse (music producer) and Thomas DeCarlo Callaway a.k.a CeeLo Green (Singer-songwriter). They were met in tour in which they became partners and they shared the same interest so they came out with their named “Gnarl Barkley” that was from a fictional story called “Prince Gnarls and Bob Gnarley”

Their first debut album called “St. Elsewhere” that was released on April 24, 2006 by Downtown and Atlantic produced by Danger Mouse itself. It was ranked as number 4 in Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums and it was Certified Platinum Records that sold for about 1,250,535. Their sample track was “Go Go Gadget which they worked with a writer Nicholas Flagello and Touch Glass, The album had its bonus DVD that contains albums and video. 2 years later they released “The Odd Couple” on March 18, 2008 by Atlantic/Downtown that contains 13 tracks including “Who’s Gonna Save My soul” as well as “Going On” together with “Run (I’m a Natural Disaster”. It also include a sample track which they worked with many artists and writer and It was ranked as number 88 in Billboard Hot 100

The duo was received many awards because of the incomparable talent in music. They received MTV European Music Awards for the song “Lazy” followed by Prominent Grammy awards for Best Urban/Alternative performance as well as “Best Alternative Music albums And Best Alternative Music Album for the album called “St. Elsewhere”

In the year 2008, they received MTV Video Music Awards for Best Art along with Best choreography and “Rolling Stone 100, Best Songs of the decade”. Through their talents and passion in music they deserve to this albums. The duo still making noise in the industry they sold 1,000,000 million for top users and got Certified Platinum and 100,000 to Certified Gold.

They collaborated with many artists including Red Hot Chilli Papers on January to March 2007 and they featured in TV series “Kung Faux” of Channel V. And also they worked with Christina AguileraWolfmother, And AFI which they received the MTV Movie Awards. According to the members, they will released their another album in the 2014 which they completed in May 2014.
