Flosstradamus is just the screen name of two of the most popular and talented DJs, J2K and Autobot. They have been seen in several prestigious events like Pitchfork Music Festival, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, and more.
Hits and their Collaborations
Because of their natural talent and charisma, they have been named as one of the “Next 100 in the URB in 2006. They were being compared with other good names like A Trak, The Cool Kids, and Kid Sister.
In 2007, the duo released an album for Vice Records. It was part of the CD sampler series of Scion by Toyota. In that same year, they did a remarkable tour with Chromeo and became even more popular after dubbing for the “Fancy Footwork Tour”.
A year after, Flosstradamus performed at Wellesley College as part of their Boston Marathon event. It wasn’t the last that they were seen in a university, they also wowed the students and faculties of Northwestern University during their Dillo Day. They performed with other acts like The Pharmacists, Clash Gordon, and more.
In 2009, they worked with NIKE+, creating an exercise tape that includes brand new De La Soul materials. They also worked with the great Caroline Polacheck for the single “Big Bills” under Green Label Sound. This was the very first original production album of the group.
Flosstradamus enjoyed continued success in 2011. J2K included Toddla T’s song Take It Back and was included in the Top 50 in UK. On that same year, they launched the EP called Jubilation with the help of Fool’s Gold.
A year after, another EP was released, Total Recall with the help of Mad Decent. Jubilation 2.0 was released last May 2012.
Their newest EP called Nomads was a successful product of their collaboration with DJ Sliink.
Aside from doing albums, they were also invited to do guesting on different shows. They appeared on Yo Gabba Gabba and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Flosstradamus have also ventured in producing other artists and songs. Iggy Azalea was one of their talents. They produced the song “Flexin and Finessin”, which also featured Juicy J. Mikky Blanco’s "YungRhymeAssassin" was also part of their success.
Flosstradamus has also been very wise and creative in figuring out how they can connect with more people, especially their fans. They created PLURNTNET that is now distributing their track called "Hdygrlz Anthm".
