About Fergie

Stacey Ann Ferguson, well known as Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas group, was born on the 27th of March 1975 in California, United States. Fergie studied in Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A. Wilson High School. Fergie was an active student being a cheerleader, spelling bee champion, a girl scout and a straight-A student. As young as she was, she has the beauty and the brains to be popular. Fergie met Josh Duhamel, an actor, when Black Eyed Peas was featured in one episode of “Las Vegas,” Duhamel’s show. In late 2004, Fergie and Josh began dating. After more than three years of dating, Josh proposed to Fergie on December 2007. And a year later, they got married on the 10th of January 2009. It was a Catholic ceremony since Fergie was raised by her devoted Catholic parents. In August 29, 2013, Fergie gave birth to their first son named Axl Jack Duhamel. Fergie got addicted to crystal methamphetamine for more than five years. But she undergoes hypnotherapy to overcome her addiction.

1984. Fergie starred in “Kids Incorporated” for six seasons. She also studied dancing during that time. And she began to be involved with voice over work. She voiced Sally in a cartoon show “Peanuts”, she also voiced characters from Snoopy’s Cartoon show.

1992. Fergie is one of the trios Wild Orchid. They signed a contract with RCA Records and deal with Sony Publishing. Four years after, 1996, they released their debut single “At Night I Pray” and it hit the Billboard chart later that year. Early 1997, the trio released their debut album. And a year later released their second album, “Oxygen” which was not commercially successful but sold over two hundred thousand copies worldwide. They have been to fifty-two cities all over US and Canada to open a concert for Cher with Cyndi Lauper.

2001. Fergie left the group after RCA Records declined to release their third album.

2003. Black Eyed Peas was already recording their third album when Will.I.Am invited Fergie to record with them in the song “Shut Up.” The music went well and the group’s chemistry flourished. Black Eyed Peas “Where is the Love?” single became their biggest hit and breakthrough.

2006. Fergie released her first solo album entitled “The Dutchess” with hit singles “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Fergalicious”, “Clumpsy” and “Glamorous”

Black Eyed Peas became very popular winning and being nominated in different music awarding bodies. And it is so with Fergie’s solo career. Fergie also released different fragrances with Avon. BEP continued its success. And Fergie announced the release of her second solo album in will be in late 2014.
