Edward Maya is a DJ, producer, music composer and performer from Romania. He was born in 1986, in Bucharest, Romania. He is a well learned musician who has graduated from George Enescu Music High School and he is the final year student at Bucharest Conservatory. He works with many types of genres but House, Pop, Electronic house and electronic. He loves to experiment with sound and produce unique type of music.
In the year 2006, Edward Maya worked closely with a number of Romanian DJs, producers and artists such as Blaxy Girls, Akcent, Vika Jigulina, DJ Sava, Payam Forghani and other artists. During that time he worked on “Tornerò” (a song). The song was demonstrated in a contest known as “Eurovision Song Contest 2006” and was performed nicely by Mihai Trăistariu. According to Maya, the song was the first motivation for him and step towards accomplishment.
In the year 2008, Edward Maya comes along with his first song as a musician, "Stereo Love". This song earned him popularity and took him to the Romanian top charts. The song, "Stereo Love" also became a hit song in many clubs around the world. The song successfully entered into the top charts of Denmark, Italy, Italy, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain and U.K. his song became one of the most heard songs (200 million YouTube views) in 2009. The song’s popularity was worldwide by which Maya earned appreciation as well as success from International mediums.
In 2011, Maya came forward with his second recording entitled "This Is My Life". Maya did not only think about himself, he wanted to give chances to the new and prospective artists, and this is why he established his own “Mayavin Records”.
On a Christmas night, Maya released his third release, "Desert Rain. This song was published worldwide. Maya’s success became worldwide. He started to receive many tour requests from many parts of the world including Europe, India, Pakistan as well as US, South Africa. In 2012, he released his forth single, 'Mono in Love'. with Vika Jigulina.
