About EDX

Maurizio Colella was born on the 2nd day of November 1976 in Zurich, Switzerland. Mauricio is better known as EDX, an Italian producer and a DJ. He focused in producing Deep House, Electro House and Progressive House music. In 1994, EDX had his first appearance in Mixkassetten, a recognized tarot parties which held in Club Oxa, Zurich. Then, his first collaboration was with Leon Klein. One of her popular track was “Gonna Catch You”. They also created remixes with Steve Angello, Armand Van Helden and Kool & The Gang.

In 2007, EDX remixed Dubfires’ single “Roadkill”. It eventually became EDX breakthrough. After his big success in remixing that song, many artists contacted him and collaborated with him. EDX had the opportunity to work with Benny Benassi, Dubfire, Swedish House Mafia, Axwell, Deadmau5 and many more artists. In 2009, EDX was one of the awardees of top three “Best Progressive House Artist” by Beat Port, the other two awardees were Eric Prydz and Deadmau5.

In 2011, EDX had a weekly schedule at Space, Ibiza, it is the number on night club worldwide. And then, on weekdays he worked with Sirius XM’s Electric Area Channel for the radio show “No Excuses”. EDX also toured all over the world to perform at the best clubs and festivals in the country. He was able to reach US, Brazil, Korea, Taiwan and Sydney. EDX talent was appreciated by listeners in small clubs to big crowds in a festival. His biggest crowd so far was sixty thousand people. His excellent works were able to hit different DJ Charts, like Cool Cuts, DMC Buzz and Beat Port.

In 2012, EDX released his first album entitled “On the Edge”. EDX personally worked on this album for two long years. The album was composed of fourteen singles. For this album, EDX collaborated with Tamra Keenan, Sarah McLeod, Sam Obernik, Nadia Ali, Jerique and John Williams. Two of the hit singles were “Give It Up For Love” with John Williams and “This is Your Life” featuring Nadia Ali. To date, EDX took residency at Zurich and became a part of the Swiss House group “Helvetic Nerds”. EDX is the proprietor and head of the company “Sirup Music GmbH”. The company was founded in 2002 and now holds ten music labels. He also founded a graphic studio in 1995, which he, himself, was a graphic designer. He designed albums of Energy and DJ Tatana.
