Andre Romelle Young also known as Dr. Dre was born on February 18, 1965 by Theodore and Verna Young in Compton California. Aside from being a producer and rapper, he is the CEO of the company Aftermath Entertainment and also Beats Electronics.
Dr. Dre was inspired by Dj’s performer in The Eve After Dark where he spend most of his time. Afterwards, he became the Dj on the Club where he called “Dr. J” and he met Antoine Carraby that became the member of N.W.A as Dj Yella. Dr. Dre became the member of World Class Wreckin Cru and he was featured in their first hit called “Surgery” that sold 50, 000 copies all over Compton. Dr. Dre had been reunited with Dj Yella in performing on KDAY (Local Readio) that had become viral in The Traffic Jam.
In 1984, Dr. Dre first recording was released through the album “Concrete Roots”. While in 1986 he met O’Shea Jackson also known as Ice Cube and they work together on one song that produced by Ruthless Records. They formed their own group called N.W.A with Dr. Dre, Eazy-E with MC Ren and DjYella, their first album entitled “Straight Outta Compton” that was released on August 8, 1988 that ranked in number 37 in Billboard Top LP’s in US, top 20 in Ireland Albums and number 53 UK Albums.
In 1989, Ice Cube separate his way to the group. Dr. Dre takes over and he produced their second album called “EFIL4ZAGGIN” that was released in the year 1991. One year later, he left the group and transfer to Death Row Records with “Suge Knight”. Suge was the solution why Dr. Dre released by the manager. In continues, Dr. Dre notice the talent of Snoop Dogg through Warren G (Stepbrother). In 1992 he released “The Chronic” that was Certified Triple Platinum by RIAA in 1993. He won the Best Rap Solo Performances in Grammy Awards for “Let Me ride”.
In 1994, he produced the soundtrack for the film Murder Was the Case and above the rim while in 1995 he was reunited with Ice Cube in the song “Natural Born Killaz”. Later on, he released the compilation of the songs that produced and performed by him called: First Round Knock Out” in 1996.
He also one of the actor in the movie Set it Off, The Wash and Training Day. In 2001, he sold the Aftermath Entertainment for 52 million US dollar. Young is at 44 places in the wealthiest in person in the year 2004 for 11.4 million dollar income and 270 million dollar on 2012 (Estimated by Forbes).
