About Demi Lovato
Demetria Devonne Lovato also known as “Demi Lovato” is a popular American singer/actress that was born on August 20, 1992 by Patrick Martin Lovato and Dianna Lee Smith in New Mexico. She was started as an actress in children show called Barney & Friends and starts playing instruments when she was seven years old but she asked for homeschooling due to bullying. Demi was inspired by many artists including Christina Aguilera, Billy Gilman, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday and her appreciation to the music of Kelly Clarkson.
Demi was part of the Disney Channel “As the Bell Rings” with the role of Charlotte Adams and she attended the auditioned for the film Camp Rock (Sonny with a Chance) during 2007 which she got it and became the major character “Mitchie Torres” aside from that, she’s one of the singers in the High School Musical with 4 tracks. After those songs, she began “Demi Live! Warm up Tour” and she was featured on Jonas Brothers Burning Up Tour.
She released her debut album called “Don’t Forget” on September 23, 2008. The album was ranked 2nd on Billboard 200 that sold 89,000 copies and it became Gold Records by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for 500,000 in US. She was also collaborated with Jonas Brothers in 10 songs in their album and she did a national concert expedition in forty cities with her special guests Jordan Pruitt, KSM and David Archuleta. Demi was awarded as Choice Music Tour Award by (2009 Teen Choice Awards).
She recorded ‘Send Out’ a theme song for “Disney’s Friends for Change” (Charity Single) together with Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers and also Miley Cyrus. And in the same year, she introduced her 2nd album called “here We Go Again” on July 21, 2009 which top on ‘Billboard 200’ and sol 180, 000 copies
In the year 2010, Demi suffered in “Physical and Emotional Issues” so that she retract she went to a treatment because she punch the backup dancer Alex Welch which she accept the whole responsibility for what happen. She also suffered in Nervous Breakdown and Bipolar during the treatment.
She launched her 3rd album called “Unbroken” on 20th of September 2011. This album was an R&B inspired and little pop rock style. Its single “Skycraper” (Best Video with a Message Award in 2012 MTV Video Music Awards) was reached in 10th placed in ‘Billboard Hot 100 Chart’ while the “Give Your Heart a Break” is on 16th placed in US and both got Certified Platinum Record. She was a judge in ‘The X Factor’ American Version Season 2.
“Demi” is her 4th album released on May 10, 2013 that was recorded in mid 2012 to 2013. Her single “Heart Attack” that was written by collaboration of Jason Evigan, Mitch Allan, Sean Douglas, Aaron Philips and herself.was hit number 10 on ‘Billboard Hot 100’ and Certified Double Platinum. It won Teen Choice Awards for Choice Single: Female Artist, Favorite Roadtrip Song (Radio Disney Music Awasrds) and Choice Summer Song (Teen Choice Awards).
