Daniel Robert Danny Elfman is a well known music composer, producer, songwriter and a singer for rock band Oingo Boingo (1976 – 1995). He is known for many major works including title themes of The Simpsons and 1989 Batman movie. He was seen working in the movies of his friend, Tim Burton.
He is one of dew musicians and composers who has made one of the most distinguishing bodies of work in modern day movie music.
In 1985, Beetlejuice (motion picture soundtrack) was done by Elfman. And again, this was done because of Burton. There is nothing to say about the greatness of Burton whose projects include Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Edward Scissorhands, Grammy-winning Batman and many others. In 1993, Burton gave Elfman new work for his “Nightmare Before Christmas”. He profoundly dubbed the vocal of the movie’s animated musical's lead character (Jack Skellington). Elfman’s name is also printed on other features like Army of Darkness and The Frighteners, Dick Tracy, Darkman and etc. his music for music for Men in Black was also praiseworthy. This was the summer's biggest hit. He might have worked little for the television programs. But the theme song to The Simpsons was one of his best works made for television.
Elfman is a proud father of three children. He married a movie actress, Bridget Fonda in 2003. Elfman was recognized and honored with awards at the 2002 BMI Film and TV Awards
