About Cosmic Gate

Cosmic gate is a popular duo that was formed on 1999 in Krefeld, Germany. The members are Claus Terhoeven a.k.a Nic Chagall (Trance DJ and Producer) that was born on November 10, 1972 and Stefan Bossems a.k.a DJ Bossi born on February 27, 1967. The Duo was met in the year 1997 in projects for X-IT Records in Cologne. But they had known other each well in 1998 in studio were they decided to work together,

In the start of their career, they released their First single “The Drums” which is the first song they started knowing the genre of Hard Trance and ranked number 40 in German GFK Entertainment. Followed by “Mental Atmosphere” (Video Mix) featuring Natascha Nieman, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” (Remix Version) for that had been used in the film “The Wizard of Oz” and the video game DDRMAX Dance Dance Revolution 6thMix. And also “Exploration of Space” that included in their first debut album called “Rhythm and Drums” that released on February 2001. On the other side, their career did not perform well until they released their 5th single called “Fire Wire” were they collaborated with DJ Scott and Klubdoctorz. The single got number 9 in UK Singles Chart and it was the best seller in that time.

Cosmic Gate introduced their second album entitled “No More Sleep” on July 18, 2002. It contains their singles Raging (Storm) featuring Jan Johnston and re-released of the single Exploration of Space (New Club 10” Mix) with Natascha Romboy. After 4 years, they came out their 3rd album “Earth Mover” on September 18, 2006. They had worked with many artists including Sir Adian in the song “A Mile in My Shoes, Jan Johnston in I Feel Wonderful and Race Car Driver, Tiff Lacey for the song Should’ve Known, Roxanne Emery for A Day that Fades and Wippenberd for Gues Who?.

In 2009, the album “Sign of the Times” was released on March 23 featuring the remixes of Arty and Markus Schulz. Followed by “Wake Your Mind” in October 24, 2011 on Beatport. They had worked with Emma Hewitt, Arnej, Alana Aldea and Andrew Bayer to finish the album.

In the previous years, the Duo made remixes for many music artists including Vanessa Mae (White Bird), Svenson & Gielen (Answer the question) Ferry Corsten (Punk) and Tiesto (Urban Train). However, in the present year they released the album called “Start to Feel” and aside from releasing album, remixes and singles they performed 1000+ night across the world with an average of 100-130 nights/year. They also performed in famous club together with Ferry Corsten and W&W in Ministry of Sound and Privilege Ibiza.
