About Chase & Status

Chase and Status is a popular British electronic music production tandem composed of Milton or Chase and Kennard or Status. Also, Rage and Gangadeen were part of the team. The duo was originally from London and the partnership was formed in 2003 after being acquainted in Manchester. Chase & Status released 2 studio albums and have collaborated with different artists like Cee Lo Green, Plan B, Example and Tinie Tempah, and Rihanna. The group’s biggest break in the music industry was their remix of the “Duppy Man” in 2005. From then on, the group’s success was unstoppable. They were signed by Ram Records headed by Andy C. Among their most popular songs were "Hurt You" b/w "Sell Me Your Soul", and "Take Me Away". These have reached the top dance charts in UK.

More Than Lot was released in 2008. The album featured some artists like Digga, Kano, and Takura. Their appearances have received outstanding feedback from the audience. The album was ranked 49th on the British charts and has received a prestigious award, Best Album from Drum'n'Bass Award in 2009. In that same year, the duo tried venturing more into the production business and worked with Plan B on the album “End Credits” that was also included in the best 10 hits in UK. This success led to the team’s next album “No More Idols” that featured Green, Tempah, and Rascal. It remained on the top chart for 35 long weeks and has gained a double platinum award.

In early 2012, the duo was nominated for Best British Group at Brit Awards. They continue to do big and live dates and performances in different festivals around Europe and UK. Among the most popular events they participated in includes T in the Park, Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend, and more. As a way to express their gratitude to every single supporter, “Big Man” featuring Bailey was released later in 2012. Just last year, another album was successfully launched featuring Louis M^ttrs. Again, it was included in best 10 in UK. This album was a little darker as compared to their previous outings, featuring the '90s all-time favorite single called "Count on Me". It ranked 2nd the UK chart. The duo will continue to make a good name and music now and in the coming years. They will continue to inspire young artists, as well as the new generation or batch of listeners.
