Cassius is a French musical  duo composed of experienced producers ; Philippe Cerboneschi (Philippe Zdar) and Hubert Blanc-Francart alias Boom Bass. They are a French Duo who produces songs in the House Music.  The two started  producing albums for the French hip-hop artist MC Solaar in 1988.After their first year, the began collaborating on how to produce electronic music and turn it into songs  -  lively  and  electrifying ones which will surely be enjoyed by people who love to party.

Their first project “ La Funk Mob” was created in 1991 and the  following year started to work on electronic sounds. La Funk Mob is more of a hip hop music which is flavored with Down Tempo.

Their first published  house music  track titled “Foxxy” was  released  in 1996  which is under the name Cassius. It was followed by remixing tracks for acts like “Air” and “Daft Punk” which  is  a  success. “Cassius 1999” which is their first hit single  was  released in January 1999. It reached number seven in UK Singles Chart. On the same year, a debut album followed  and this includes the singles “La Mouche” and “Feeling  For  You”. In 2002, their second album “Au Reve” was released. It featured the track “I’m a Woman” as well as the single  “The Sound of Violence”.

In  2006 , the two returned to the studio doing the single “Toop Toop” as well as the album “15 Again” which featured more vocal collaborations compared to the second album.

The  acappella  version of “Toop Toop” was a success which eventually led them to start Cassius Workshop project. Followed is releasing more a cappella for remixing purposes. The duo claimed  to have received more than 400 remixes.
