About Bring Me the Horizon

Bring me the horizon is a group of band that was formed on March 2004 in Sheffield Yorkshire. The members are Oliver Skyes (Lead Vocal), Lee Malia (lead guitar), Matt Kean (Bass), Matt Nicholls (Drummer) and Jordan Fish (Keyboard). it was started with Malia, Nicholls, Skyes and Curtis afterwards they asked Matt to joined the group and it was happen. Their name was came from the Captain of the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” Captain Jack Sparrow speak “Now, Bring me that horizon”. The band signed a recording contract to RCA Records and Epitaph Records. Their genre was a deathcore, but after a while they jump in metalcore in their upcoming tracks.

Their first EP is “This is What Edge of Your Seat Was Made For” released on October 2004. The band discovered by the “Thirty Days of Nights Records” and they signed a contract. In 2006 they were given an award for Best British Newcomer in the “2006 Kerrang! Awards” and they support “The Red Chord” in their tour (First tour of Bring me to the Horizon).

The band released their debut album call “Count Your Blessings” on October 2006 in UK while August 2007 in US. To write a song they rented a house but this was not good for them because they get distracted because of alcohol consumption. They collaborated with Lostprophets and the Blackout in their First tour on November and December 2006.

One year later, they launched their 2nd album “Suicide Season” with the producer Fredrik Nordstrom in Sweden. They were featured in 2008 Warped Tour and in 2009 Kerrang! Tour together with Dir En Grey, In case of Fire, black Tide as well as Mindless Self Indulgence.

The band was separated with Curtis Ward due to poor performances on shows and he was rude in their audiences. Curtis was replaced with Dean Rowbotham. In the remixed version of “Suicide Season” they collaborated with Swahn Crahan, Utah Saints, L’Amour la morgue and Skrillex.

They introduced their 3rd album entitled “There is Hell, Believe Me I’ve seen it; There heaven, let’s Keep it a secret” on October 4 2010 that reached number 17 on (Billboard 200 in US). And their latest album was “Sempiternal” that was released on the year 2013. Their schedule rises, they performed in Australian Soundwave and Soundwave Festival 11 which they perform for 5 dates across the country.
