About Bloodhound Gang

Bloodhound is an American rock band that was formed on 1991 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The current members are Jimmy Pop (lead vocalist. Rhythm guitarist), Jared Hasselhoff (Bass Guitarist, backing vocals), Q - Ball (keyboardist, backing vocals), The Yin (drummer, percussionist, backing vocals) and Daniel P. Carter (lead guitarist). They started as an alternative rock band called “Bang Chamber 8” together with the members James Moyer Franks a.k.a Jimmy Pop and Michael Bowe a.k.a Daddy Long Legs in which they both finished their studies in Perkiomen Valley High School. Soon after, Jared Hasselhoff joined with Jimmy as they both studied in Temple University in Philadelphia and that was the start of their collaboration. After changing their name in “The Bloodhound Gang” their first gig was on Jared’s house together with their first demo tape called “Just Another Demo” and eventually they continue performing on CBGB’s in New York City.

In the year 1994, they released their 2nd demo tape called “The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Hilter’s Handicapped Helpers” in which they discovered by the Cheese Factory Records and later on signed a recording contract with them. In the same year, their first EP was released on November 1994 that was called “Dingleberry Haze”. One year later, they released their debut album called “Use Your Fingers” on July 18, 1995 that comprises 20 tracks including the singles “K.I.D.S Incorporated”, “Mama Say” and “Kids in America”.

They followed their 2nd studio album entitled “One Fierce Beer Coaster” on 3rd of December 1996 that was released through Republic Records along with Geffen Records. They worked with Vanilla Ice for the song “Boom” and the album was charted as number 3 in AUS ARIA Charts while number 2 in US Top Heatseekers and it was certified Gold Record in USA. Then in 1999, they bring out “Hooray for Boobies” and in 2005 “Hefty Fine”. Along with their journey, they performed in Greenville Music Festival 2013 in Germany, Soundwave Festival 2009 in Australia and across the cities in USA. According to Jimmy, he revealed it in their Twitter account that he’s now working out their next album in which he recording sample voices every day. On the month of August their new single called “Chew Toy” was out and later on it was uploaded in YouTube that got 32,055 views in just one month.
