About Blondie

Blondie is a rock band that was formed in 1970 in New York, US. It was founded by Debby Harry (lead vocalist) and Chris Stein (guitarist, bassist), the members are comprises with Debby and Chris together with Matt Katz Bohen (keyboardist), Clem Burke (Drummer backing vocals), Leigh Foxx (Bassist) and in 2010 Tommy Kessler (guitarist) joined the band.

In the year 1976, they released their first debut album with a self titled called “Blondie” on the month of December through Private Stock and Chrysalis and produced by Richard Gottehrer along with Craig Leon and Alan Betrock. After 2 years, they followed their 2nd album called “Plastic Letter” that was released on February 1978. It consists of 13 tracks with 7 bonus tracks including the single “Denis”, “Once I Had Love” moreover they added “(I’m Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear”. Blondie worked with Frank Infante and Dale Powers in Bass Guitar as well as backing vocals on some of the songs.

The band still continuing in releasing album and they got 10 albums released from 1978 to 2014 in which it includes the “Parallel Lines” with its single Heart of Glass that won a Juno Award as Best selling single. Plus, they came up with their 4th album called “Eat to the Beat”; on the other hand, the band take a break in the year 1981, but they still making projects as a solo artist however in the year 1982, they bring back together to formed their album “The Hunter”and more albums came out. They also received lot of awards including the Q Music Award for Q Inspiration Awards, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, NME Award for NME Godlike Genius Award, while they got nominated for Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal as well as Video of the year for their Eat to the Beat Video.

The band had almost 1000 performances all throughout their career, in which they travel almost around the world to show what they got and also to promote their albums as well. They performed in Austria, Hungary, in Electric Picnic 2014 in Ireland as well as around US, Canada together with David Bowie and Iggy Pop, also in UK, Sweden, Germany and many more. Blondie is taking now their fame as a band, they will continue in releasing album and performed around the world and show their music to everyone.

Loved the show! Wish red hat had screens though. I'm only 5'. Everyone around me was like 6' or more it felt like. I had to go stand on the deck at the bathrooms to see anything. Other than that. Parking was awesome. Everyone was super friendly. And as always they both put on amazing shows.
