About Black Veil Brides

Created in 2006, Black Veil Brides are a glam-metal band from Cincinnati, Ohio; yet, now live in Hollywood. Influenced by 1980s make-up faced, leather-jeans shock rockers, the group brought glam rock back. Similar acts include Her Bright Skies, Falling in Reverse, and Vampires Everywhere!. Black Veil Brides influences are notable artist, KISS, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold and many others. Before 2009, Andy Biersack joined with Jinxx, Ashley Purdy, Christian Coma, and Jake Pitts. The group began writing music and scored a deal with Standby Records. After signing, the group hit the studio and in July 2010, released their debut album, We Stitch These Wounds. Their first record became a huge success, scoring them a huge mainstream audience and another label deal. Afterwards, Black Veil Brides signed with Lava and finished up on the Vans Warped Tour. In 2011, the grouped dropped their follow-up album, Set the World on fire. The record scored with fans and critics landing it spots on major motion films. They followed with a US tour supporting Murderdolls, Hollywood Undead and Avenged Sevenfold. During this time, the band worked on collaborations with artist Zack Wylde and other small projects. This record also featured a diversion from their classic rock sound to a more glam style. Black Veil Brides spent the 2012 year working on their third album, which didn’t release until 2013. The record became a success and continued the popularity of the band. Their music continued to find new outlets, featuring in scary movies and Halloween themed films. Later, Biersack featured on the cover of Alternative Press Magazine, which sold more than the average copy. In 2014, the band announced that it had a new self-titled album ready to pre-order. They also won the prestigious Golden God award for the hit single “In The End.” Black Veil Brides are currently preparing for their upcoming worldwide tour. The group will make notable stops in Dublin, Ireland, Glasgow, UK, Niagara Falls, New York, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
