About Birdy Nam Nam

Birdy Nam Nam is a group of DJ’s that was formed on 2001 in France. The members are Little Mike, Crazy B, DJ Pone and DJ Need that produced Eletronica Dance music. The group’s mission is to make their music as real as like band. Their name was derived from the film of Peter Seller’s “The Party” in which it was mentioned in one of the scene from the movie and Blake Edward is the director.

Their first released was on 2005, a self-titled album called “Birdy Nam Nam” through Uncivilized World Records; followed by a live recording in 2006 that was held in La Cigale Paris on 28th of June. After two years, they launched their 3rd album entitled “Manual for successful Rioting” on August 17, 2009 through Has Been and Jive Sbme Europe Records. It was produced by Yusek Justice that comprises of 11 tracks including “Trans Boulogne Express” featuring Philippe Miro as their guitarist and next was “Bonne Nouvelle” with Vincent Segal on the Cello, Philippe as guitarist and on drums is Cyril Atef. Aside from that, they also worked with Nucleus and co-production with Justice. One of their well-known albums was called “Defiant Order” that was released on November 19, 2011 in France and re-released on May 28, 2013. It was released through Sony Music (France) while OWSLA all over the world.

Birdy Nam Nam is also an award winning group which they received Best Dance/Electronica Album in Independent Music Awards on 2012. They also captured the DMC Technics 2002 World TEAM Championships. They performed at SXSC Conference and the group received recognition from the listener after the song “Trans Boulogne” in one of the best films of Jason Statham “Transporter 3”.

In 2013, they were featured in ASAP Rocky’s single “Wild for the Night” in which it was included on his album called “Live. Love. ASAP” together with Skrillex in which they worked with OWSLA Record; the label was founded by Skrillex also known as Sonny Moore. The single was charted at number 80 in US singles Chart while number 63 in Belgium, it also hit number 38 in New Zealand and it was recognized as a Certified Gold Records by RIAA. Birdy Nam Nam performed almost in around the world including in France together with Para One and DJ Pone, Electric Zoo Festival in 2013 that was held in New York US, as well as in Germany, Belgium and a lot more.
