Andain is an American Electronic music duo that was formed in 2001 in San Francisco California by Mavie Marcos (Singer-songwriter), David Penner (Guitarist) and Josh Gabriel (Producer). The band was started after Josh came and they’ve experiment to produce good quality songs. Their genre was electronic with an acoustic combination and unique style.
They started in the song “Summer Calling” that was released on June 15, 2002 after they discovered by Tiesto, soon after they signed a recording contract with Black Hole label. After that, they followed their 2nd single called “Beautiful Things” that was launched on October 3, 2003 produce by Josh and Dave Dresden. The single was their promotion of their band and became successful as it was because they got the Sunset Music Award by Polish Sunrise Festival 2010 and a nomination in International Dance Music as “Best Progressive/Trance” and “Best New Dance Group” in the year 2004. They released their single “Promises” in the year 2011 that produced different remixes and it is their comeback song after 8 years and later on they introduced their first debut album called “You Once Told Me” on 24th of September 2012 by Black Hole and produced by Josh and Mavie. The album consists of 11 tracks, Deluxe Version and bonus tracks of remixed version of “Promises” featuring JayTech and Maor Levi but it only limited edition.
They still continue to released new songs from them including the single “Much Too Much” that was out on January 30, 2012 featuring Zetandel for the remixes. They also collaborated with Shreddward & Exceed, Jonathan Stoddard, Jamie Redford (Director) and Tylor Norwood for the music video as well as Remedy Editorial for the finishing touches. It was also nominated as International Dance Music Awards for Best Chill out/Lounge Track. After 5 months they launched their 5th single entitled “Turn Up the Sound” that was out on 18th of June 2012 featuring Gabriel & Dresden, Tristan Garner, Francis Prève for the remixes version of the song. It was not ended it that, they followed their single “What It’s Like” that was introduced on December 31, 2012 that became a club most played song and a re-released of their album “You Once Told Me” on December 16, 2013 that contains five remixes and an album version.
