About Adam Scone

Adam Scone is a Hammond Organ player who was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He met Dr. Lonnie Smith as a teenager and started playing the B3. He became known in the Jazz/Funk scene in New York City in the mid-1990s. Scone is known in the Jazz world for playing with Alto saxophone player Lou Donaldson and other Soul Jazz legends including Melvin Sparks, Ben Dixon, George Braith, and Jimmy Cobb. Scone began recording Boogaloo records and Funk 45's for Desco Records and Daptone Records in 1998. The Sugarman Three is led by Saxophonist and Daptone Records co-founder Neal Sugarman (Last.fm)
