Nyusha: The Russian Sensation. Nyusha's real name is Anna Vladimirovna Shurochkina. This Russian Singer and songwriter is considered as one of the most successful music artists in Russia. She has gained big popularity in the media and her seven singles have ranked number one in hit charts.

Childhood

Ever since she was a little child, Nyusha is already in love with music. She was born into a family of music lovers. Her father was been a member of a musical group in Russia. On the other hand, her mother was a vocalist in a rock band during her teenage years. At age five, she started singing in the studio with her song “ Song of The Great bear”. When she was 11 years old, she joined the group called Grizli and they started touring Germany and Russia. At age 17, she decided to finally change her name to Nyusha.

The Start of Her Career

Her music career began to bloom when she got 7th place in the a contest that was categorized as international called “New Wave 2008”. At the same time, she was the one who composed the finale song of the female lead character in the movie, "Enchanted" . In 2009, she finally released her first ever single entitled “Howl at The Moon” which won Song of The Year – 2009. During her performance at the concert “Europea Plus Live 2009”, she introduced russian song “angel” and an English song entitled “Why”.

And Her career Goes On

In 2009, this artist released her second single entitled “Do Not Interrupt” which turned out to be the most popular Russian song. In the same year, she released her album with the title of “Choosing A Miracle”. The third single with the same title as the album ranked number one in Russian hit charts from 2010 to 2011. This song is her most successful one and it also gained lots of YouTube views.

In 2011, she released new singles-- “It Hurts: and “Higher” which ranked number one in Russia. In the same year, she recorded a song with French Gilles Luka. She won “Best Song” in the MUZ-TV Awards in 2012. On the same month, she have written the song “Memories” which reached new heights in Russian and Ukrainian charts.
