DímaBilán was born on December 24, 1981. He is among the most popular Russian actors, singer-composer and historian of Karachay descent. He has represented Russia in different prestigious contests, one of which is at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. He finished second place with his song “Never Let You Go". He also won a contest in Belgrade last 2008 in Belgrade, singing "Believe". He has had numerousbig hit records.
Highlights of His Career
Aside from winning the Eurovision Song Contest in March 2006, he was also awarded Song of the Year and Artist of the Year by MTV Russian Music Awards in September of the same year. Just a month after, he represented his country at the MTV EMA held in Copenhagen.
2006 was indeed one of Bilan’s greatest years. He was again received an award, Best Selling Russian Artist and was invited to perform at the World Music Awards held in London together with other iconic stars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Nelly, Sinclair, and the one and only Michael Jackson.
In 2007, he started recording his very first international album in LA, Philadelphia, and Miami. He collaborated with other producers like Tedder and Beanz. One the tracks included in this project will be a duet with Nelly.
Number One Fan was one of his top rating hits. It remained on top of the charts for nearly 8 long weeks. Video for this track was shot in London by a very popular and talented British director Bellinger. The same director worked with other popular artists like Ellis Bextor, Aloud, and Sugarbabes.
In 2007, he released his second single and performed live at the MTV Russian Music Awards. He was given 3 recognitions namely Best Song, Best Performer, and for 3 straight years, he was hailed Best Artist.

Just recently, he once again competed at Russia’s Eurovision 2012 song selection for the main even to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. He joined the contest with YuliaVolkovaand they sang "Back To Her Future". They were awarded 2nd place.
More is expected from Bilan. His career, though it may already look well flourished, is just about to hit greater heights. He is expected to do more international albums and tours.
